At that temperature there is a very high likelihood of scalding and a constant 100% humidity is hard to achieve because the user will have to constantly adjust his head position to avoid scalding. The product has an open body of boiling water during use.
Vicks Sinus Inhaler runs at a cool 102°F that fluctuate significantly, when set to HIGH. Too cool for effective therapy. Scalding or burning is unlikely, but the technology relies on boiling the water inside the device which can escape if toppling the device.
