MyPurFill Demineralized water, which is available in convenient 12 oz. bottles can be purchased either on our website or on Amazon. MyPurMist uses only 1 oz. of water to generate approximately 25 minutes of very fine soothing steam so the cost of using MyPurFill is less than 10 cents per average daily use. However, distilled water is also appropriate to use in MyPurMist. We recommend using MyPurFill Demineralized or distilled water only. Using any additives in the water reservoir, any other liquid or water with minerals (e.g. bottled, purified or boiled water) will damage the device and will void the warranty.

*Please be aware that some brands of water may have misleading labels on the packaging. Bottles with"made out of vapor distilled water" or "vapor distilled water and electrolytes for taste" may not contain distilled water made for use with small appliances. For example, Glaceau Smartwater has been purified; however, electrolytes and minerals were added to enhance its taste, which makes it unusable with MyPurMist. Please read the label and make sure that you DO NOT see any of the following: Calcium Chloride, Magnesium Chloride, Potassium Bicarborate, Electrolyte Sources (Electrolytes added for taste) or any other minerals.

Please note that MyPurFill Demineralized or distilled water should be filled ONLY to the base of the spout (see below for fill line). This is sufficient water for a full cycle.

Your MyPurMist device has two primary indicators of operation.

 RED light: The steady red light is an indicator for "water out" or when the timer has run a full cycle. However, at times a red light may come prematurely. In such cases the water level may need to be adjusted or the device needs to be reset. The flashing red light means you will have to wait 30 seconds for the unit to come back on (it's cooling down). This is the top light.

BLUE light: The 4 blue lights are indicators of your selected temperature and that the unit is turned ON. While the red and blue lights are indicators of normal operation, they also can be indicators of non-operation. (Please see bellow)

NEW MyPurMist ScentPad

MyPurMist ScentPad should fit snugly on your MyPurMist device. Insert the top pins first in the upper most left and right side holes on the device and then firmly insert the bottom pins.

Press all corners on the reservoir to make sure the blister is properly pierced. In the event you still see some oil as not having seeped onto the pad, then take the MyPurMist ScentPad off and tilt it so that the oil does indeed leave the reservoir fully.

One reservoir may be used multiple times in the course of a day. As the oil evaporates, the aroma will become more faint toward the end of the day.

MyPurMist ScentPad uses 100% Beta Carotene to give the essential oil the deep yellow color. Beta Carotine is a strongly colored red-orange pigment abundant in plants and fruits. It is the substance in carrots, pumpkins, and sweet potatoes that colors them orange.

Currently we have a Eucalyptus & Peppermint ScentPad (50% Eucalyptus & 50% Peppermint; double distilled essential oils). MyPurMist ScentPad was specifically designed to work effectively with the steam from MyPurMist to release soothing aromatic Eucalyptus and fresh Peppermint vapors for non-medicated comfort and a peaceful night's rest. At this time there are no other oils available.

MyPurMist ScentPad uses the highest quality double distilled essential oils sourced from Asia. The only ingredients used are 99.9% essential oils in equal amounts of Eucalyptus Globulus and Peppermint (Mentha Arvensis) oils. The last 0.1% is 100% pure and natural beta carotene color to facilitate seeing the oil. The color is not transmitted beyond the pad so only the essential oils reach you. The ingredients and their respective ratios have been developed by MyPurMist in collaboration with experts in the field and feedback from customers to provide a soothing and fresh aroma when used with MyPurMist. The absorption pad is a special medical grade material to provide the pure scent and nothing else.

Ease of use

You can have warm mist relieving your symptoms in 1 second! MyPurMist is a handheld device, so you can use it anytime, anywhere - while watching TV, relaxing with a book, at work or in bed before sleeping. It also has a self-cleaning mechanism. MyPurMist requires no waiting, no preparation, and no cleaning!

Not at this time. MyPurMist requires an A/C power source. MyPurMist is tested and certified for use with both 110 volts and 220 volts  so you can travel with it anywhere in the world. It is very convenient to use and can be used anytime, anywhere - while watching TV, relaxing with a book, at work or in bed before sleeping. However, MyPurMist can also be used in a car (see below).

MyPurMist can be used in a car using a "12V to 120V inverter of 100 Watt capacity or higher available at many retailers."  There are several products meeting this specification. We have successfully tested "Bestek 150w dual usb 3.1a." Do not use MyPurMist while driving, only as a passenger.

Safety

MyPurMist makes germ-free steam as MyPurFill Demineralized or distilled water goes through the patented CFV technology.   So what you inhale is always germ-free water vapor! When MyPurMist dries itself after use, this occurs above the heater so that no germs can grow inside the unit. In tests performed by an independent testing institute, MyPurMist achieved 99.9999% germ free result.  In addition, a microprocessor controls multiple safety features and provides an adjustable temperature within 100-115 F.

MyPurMist provides symptomatic relief of allergies by washing away the allergens (with regular use).  For specific allergies, please consult a healthcare professional.

Humidifiers will create humidity in the entire room. Normal recommendation is to keep the room approximately 40% humid. High humidity causes mold in the room that can make your symptoms even worse. However, MyPurMist is directed humidity, so it will only provide humidity where you need it and will not humidify the room. This can in turn help the inflammation and congestion that you may have because of mold allergies.

MyPurMist provides directed humidification and will effectively rinse out the nasal passage. By removing an irritant quickly from the nasal passage, you will prevent congestion caused by inflammation of the passages. Using MyPurMist as quickly as possible right after exposure to an irritant including dust is the best way to avoid inflammation and congestion.

We know that allergies or sinus infections affect the sense of smell. MyPurMist will improve the symptoms of congestion due to allergies and sinus infections that may also improve the sense of smell.

If you are very congested, you may feel more stuffy after using MyPurMist. This is normal as the steam is working it's way in. Regular use (10-15 minutes in the morning and at night before bedtime) is highly recommended to promote normal breathing.

How to use MyPurMist

You can use MyPurMist as often, or as long, as you like since it is 100% natural. A full water reservoir provides approximately 20-25 minutes of use. Many patients will use MyPurMist for 10-15 minutes just before sleeping for more restful sleep. For most optimal results we recommend using MyPurMist once in the morning and once before bed for 10-15 minutes each. Best is for you to try different durations to see what is most optimal for you. Generally speaking using MyPurMist more often will provide you the consistent benefits of humidification.

When you use MyPurMist for the first time wait 30 seconds to allow the water to travel up and then turn it on. This ensures the device will operate trouble free. For subsequent uses you do not need to wait 30 seconds as long as there was some water left over in the device from a previous use.

MyPurMist has a timer that will shut off the device automatically after a cycle or when it runs out of water. Once the water reservoir runs dry or a full cycle is done, the red light will display. The internal fan will stay on for 10 minutes to dry out the product. Do not unplug the unit prior to the completion of the drying cycle so as to prevent internal moisture from accumulating.

Simply press the power ON/OFF button and set the device aside. The red light will not turn on, but the drying cycle will be triggered and the unit will shut itself off automatically once it's dry. If you want to continue your session, just press the power ON button again and enjoy the steam. You do not need to wait for 10 minutes until the drying cycle is completed. Simply press the power ON button when you are ready! It's that easy!

The fan continues to run for 10 minutes to dry the inside of the MyPurMist unit. This keeps the inside of the unit dry.

Yes, you can leave the water in the reservoir. We recommend filling the water to the base of the spout in the reservoir so that you have a full reservoir before every use. The mist coming out will always be germ free. If you do not plan to use MyPurMist for a long time and want to store it, then please empty out the water before storing.

There is nothing wrong with your device. MyPurMist has 4 lights for temperature control and the 5th light is a red light indicator to show that you are out of water or the timer for a full cycle has ended.

A red light is an indicator for "water out" or when the timer has run a full cycle. To continue using MyPurMist, simply add more MyPurFill Demineralized or distilled water and press the ON button. However, at times a red light may turn on prematurely. In such cases, please see the reset section.

No. You can fill the reservoir to the fill point and start a new cycle before the red light shuts off. Just make sure that when you are done using MyPurMist, you do not unplug the unit and let the fan automatically run for 10 minutes to dry out the product.

No. It is recommended to let MyPurMist run completely, until the fan has stopped and completed its drying cycle.

You can store the unit in its bag or in a safe place where it won't be damaged. It's best to store the unit with the cap removed.

Use the product where you can comfortably hold the device. You can be lying down at a slight angle (with a pillow or two).

You can make the steam warmer by pushing the temperature button UP just below the blue lights. Push the temperature button DOWN to make the steam cooler. You will have the warmest temperature selected when all 4 blue lights are lit. The temperature range of MyPurMist is a comfortable 100-115F.

The small amount of water in the reservoir after 20-25 min of use is normal. We do not want the unit to go completely dry - so we have the machine shut off after approximately 25 min of use.  The water from the reservoir will go through the heater the next time you use it and make the steam/mist germ free. So there is no risk in leaving the water in the reservoir. Only if you plan on not using MyPurMist for a more than a week, then we recommend you empty the reservoir before you store it away.

1 oz of MyPurFill Demineralized or distilled water is all that you need for a full cycle of fine soothing steam. MyPurFill comes in convenient 12 oz bottles making it easy to pour a small amount of water in the water reservoir.

No. Saline and many essential oils contain minerals that will damage the device and void the warranty.

Cleaning

We suggest wiping down the outside of the product with a dry cloth before storing for longer periods of time. If the outside of your MyPurMist gets dirty, use a warm damp cloth dipped in soapy water to gently wipe the outside of the unit. Do not submerge your MyPurMist in water. To prevent germs from spreading, wipe masks down with warm soapy water and dry before storing. We recommend that everyone that uses MyPurMist have his or her own mask. Be sure to drain all of the water out of your MyPurMist and wait until it has run through the automatic drying cycle before storing. This helps to prevent mold growth on the inside of the unit.

No, there is no cleaning required after every use.  Just be sure to let the fan run until it shuts off after every use till the inside of the unit dries out.  The only thing you should clean is the mask, which should be hand-washed with warm water and soap.

If you choose to return MyPurMist before you've used the unit for at least 30 days then we will still gladly refund your product price, but the cost of postage is your responsibility. Why? Troubleshooting

Your device is working properly. Each time after the device is turned OFF, a fan will run for 10 min to dry all the internal parts of the device. The red light will only come on if the water needs to be refilled or if the full 20-25 min cycle is completed. Turning the device off before the 20-25 min cycle is completed will not trigger the red light. Whether your session is 10, 15 or 25 minutes long the fan will always dry the device after you are finished. MyPurMist was designed to make your steaming experience convenient and seamlessly integrated into your life!

Please make sure the power cord is properly inserted into the white power supply box on one end and is in a working outlet in the other end. Do you see a green light on the power supply box? If so, then the device should work. If it still does not, please contact us at TechSupport@MyPurMist.com for fastest service (emails responded to in 12 hours or less). Too much water can also cause the unit to go to red - do not overfill. Do not refrigerate your MyPurFill Demineralized or distilled water.

Step 1: Make sure you do not refrigerate your MyPurFill Demineralized or distilled water. Check that water is till the fill line (do not overfill), wait 30 seconds and turn on the unit again.

Step 2: If the red light comes on again within few minutes please reset the device by unplugging and re-plugging it and quickly pressing the ON button. You do not have to wait for the fan to stop (which is 10 min) before trying to turn it on again. If it still persistently keeps going to red, please contact us at TechSupport@MyPurMist.com for fastest service (emails responded to in 12 hours or less). Cost, Reimbursement, Availability

For typical use of 10-15 minutes a day, MyPurMist costs less than 25 cents per day. If you have multiple family members using MyPurMist, then this cost is even lower. This is lower than the cost of OTC drugs, nasal irrigation, or even the cost of buying and running humidifiers. Of course, with our 100% no risk policy, you can try MyPurMist for 60 days and return it without incurring any additional cost. If you try it for at least 30 days we'll even pay for return shipping!

MyPurMist could be eligible for reimbursement using the code E0605 for a vaporizer. Please check with your insurance company. In addition, if you have a health savings account (HSA), you can get a prescription from your doctor and claim it as an HSA expense.
